'Opposite' refers to a spatial relationship (facing or across from) along the same axis between the second end of the valve body and the fuel metering chamber, not 'at the other end.' Under these constructions, the Airco Fuel Cell infringes the asserted patent claims. The amendments introducing claims 17, 20, and 21 were not broadening and were allowed.
