The adoption of X and Y by the proposed adoptive parents is in the best interests of both children, both in childhood and later life, is clearly preferable to any other action that could be taken by law, and all statutory requirements have been met; accordingly, the court orders adoption in favour of the proposed adoptive parents, approves the change of surname, and dispenses with the birth parents' consent.
