The sentencing judge erred by failing to properly consider the applicant's youth and immaturity as mitigating factors in determining the total term of imprisonment, not only the structure of the sentence. This, together with procedural errors in the recognizance release order, required appellate intervention and resentencing. A total term of 2 years, 3 months, with a pre-release custodial period of 15 months and a 12 month recognizance period, was imposed.
