The intraoperative photographs and HSG imagery did not conclusively exclude incomplete closure; the clip was placed sub-optimally and appeared to include extraneous tissue; the evidence of an intact tube and absence of fistula made recanalisation or fistula highly improbable; and the trial judge did not reverse the onus of proof.
