Watson v Collings [1944] HCA 33
The plaintiff was duly appointed Secretary by the Commissioner with Governor-General’s approval under s. 51 and continues in office at the Commissioner’s pleasure since the Governor-General’s withdrawal of approval after appointment was of no effect. The appointment need not be made under seal or in writing as per s. 24. Ministerial or Executive interference is not authorised by the Act.
