The effect of s 20 of the Property (Relationships) Act 1984 (NSW) is that the property of the parties is to be adjusted having regard only to their past contributions, disregarding any proceeds from illegal activity, and without consideration of present or future needs. The proceeds from the jointly owned property should be equally divided as just and equitable; the cross-claim for further adjustment or transfer is dismissed.
