The medical opinions indicated that the need for the 2022 left shoulder surgery did not arise from an injury in the course of employment, but from a non-compensable injury sustained while the plaintiff was scraping barnacles from his boat in May 2022. In those circumstances the proposed redemption sum was reasonable and the redemption was approved.
