KNC [2015] NSWCATGD 51
Mrs KNC continued to have a disability affecting her ability to make important life decisions, lacked insight into her care and health needs, and informal arrangements were not appropriate to protect her welfare and interests. Because Mr KLC had died and Mr DAP and Mr TZP were suitable, willing and able to act jointly, the guardianship order was renewed and varied for three years with the required functions. There was no evidence that Mrs KNC had regained capacity to manage her affairs or that revoking the financial management order was in her best interests, but Mr KLC's death made it appropriate to revoke his appointment and appoint Mr DAP as suitable substitute financial manager.
