N.N. (Cameroon) -v- Refugee Appeals Tribunal & ors [2015] IEHC 743 (26 November 2015)

The High Court found that the Tribunal made errors of fact, particularly in ignoring the medical evidence from the Galway Rape Crisis Centre and in its assessment of the applicant's health issues. The Tribunal also failed to properly consider whether the law forbidding homosexual activity in Cameroon constitutes persecution per se. The process was not legally sound and was vitiated by material error of law. Accordingly, the decision of the Tribunal was quashed.
