Ratio Decidendi

The Land Court had jurisdiction to hear the dispute as the District Land Court Rules did not exclude its jurisdiction in cases of competing claims to land. The evidence overwhelmingly supported Roma Valley's prior allocation and occupation of the land, and the appellant's lease was obtained fraudulently. The punitive costs order was not justified as there was little irrelevant material in the appellant's answer.
