Crown Security CC v Gabrielsen (SA 40 of 2013) [2015] NASC 14 (8 July 2015)

There was a sufficiently close connection between the security guard's wrongful act of shooting the respondent and his employment as a security guard for the appellant, who armed him and placed him at the premises to protect them. The shooting occurred while the guard was on duty, at his place of employment, and using a firearm provided by the appellant. The appellant is therefore vicariously liable for the damages caused.
