KARANGWA v. MUKASHARANGABO N’ABANDI

KARANGWA v. MUKASHARANGABO N’ABANDI

The Supreme Court held that it has jurisdiction to hear urgent applications for stay of execution in the context of revision for injustice, even if not expressly provided in the procedural law, because the organic law allows application of general procedural rules. The urgent application is admissible as it is linked to a pending revision case, and a stay is warranted to prevent irreparable harm to the parties pending the outcome of the main case.
