  1. 1 Whether the District Court erred in correcting the division of matrimonial assets without considering the principle of equal share
  2. 2 Whether the District Court had the power to correct the Primary Court's decision
  3. 3 Proper division of matrimonial house and other assets

Ratio Decidendi

The division of the matrimonial house must reflect the parties' respective contributions, with the appellant entitled to 1/3 and the respondent to 2/3 of the value, as the evidence showed the respondent contributed more. The house should be valued, and either party may buy out the other's share; if neither can, the house is to be sold and proceeds divided accordingly. Custody of the younger child remains with the appellant until age seven, with maintenance ordered, while the first born remains with the respondent. The District Court's correction regarding the division was not supported by the trial court's record, and the appeal is partly allowed and partly dismissed.
