The application for stay of execution fails because the applicants did not prove the existence of a serious or imminent threat of execution that would render the main application nugatory, nor did they demonstrate substantial loss that could not be compensated monetarily. Although execution had commenced and a warrant of arrest was issued against all applicants, the evidence did not support the claim that the threat was imminent or that irreparable harm would result. The application was not filed with inordinate delay, but the applicants failed to provide cogent evidence of substantial loss or hardship.
