The law prohibits the imposition of a sentence more severe than that agreed upon in a plea bargain unless the agreement is rejected for causing a miscarriage of justice. The judge's augmentation of the sentence was not based on a finding of miscarriage of justice but rather his opinion that the agreed sentence was too low.
