The claimant's resignation was voluntary and not a result of constructive dismissal, as there was no evidence of unreasonable conduct by the employer. The respondent's purported rejection of the resignation and subsequent termination letter were null and void, having no legal effect. The right to a hearing under section 66 of the Employment Act does not arise where an employee resigns; it is only triggered when the employer is considering termination.
