The evidence from the respondent's witnesses was inconsistent regarding the alleged transaction, and the requirement under Section 10(5) of the Contracts Act, 2010, that contracts exceeding twenty-five currency points must be in writing, is mandatory. There is no legal basis for enforcing such a contract to the extent of twenty-five currency points if it is not in writing.
