The purported extension of the lease by ULC was null and void, and the lease expired in March 2013. Upon expiry, the land reverted to the District Land Board, which lawfully allocated freehold titles to the Plaintiffs and Counter-Defendants. The Defendant/Counter-Claimant's continued occupation after expiry amounted to trespass.
