The Plaintiffs breached the contract by failing to supply vanilla conforming to the specifications agreed upon and approved by the Defendants and their client. The evidence established that the Plaintiffs provided a second sample which was accepted, but the bulk consignment did not match this sample, leading to rejection by the end customer. The Defendants were not liable for payment as the goods did not conform to contractually agreed standards. The 2nd Defendant, Gordon Jones, acted in his capacity as director and not personally, and thus cannot be held personally liable. The Plaintiffs are not entitled to any of their claims.
