The Supreme Court found that the documentary evidence and uncontradicted testimony established a valid contract between the appellant and respondent for the supply of goods. The appellant, by placing the order and agreeing to pay, acted as principal and not merely as agent for UPC. Delivery was effected to the appellant's appointed carrier, satisfying the contractual requirement. The respondent was entitled to recover the contract price from the appellant. On the issue of interest, the court held that while interest on foreign currency judgments is permissible, the trial judge erred in awarding 12% p.a. without justification.
