The Plaintiff was initially authorized by the family to assist with the estate administration under the mistaken belief that he was an advocate. Upon discovery that he was not an advocate, the defendants continued to engage him as a lay person to process the Letters of Administration and Special Certificate of Title. The Plaintiff did not provide receipts to substantiate his claimed expenses, and the court found the official fees for the processes to be approximately UGX 555,600/-. During mediation, the administrators proposed UGX 5,000,000/- as reimbursement, which the court found reasonable and sufficient.
