The High Court has jurisdiction to hear appeals against deportation orders under Section 60(7) and (8) of the Uganda Citizenship and Immigration Control Act. While Uganda is a signatory to the East African Community Treaty and has domesticated the treaty through the East African Community Act, the implementation of the Common Market Protocol and its annexes, including the schedule of commitments on the progressive liberalization of services, requires specific domestication into Ugandan law.
