The plaintiff lawfully acquired the lease and certificate of title to Plot 6 Martin Road after the 1st defendant’s lease expired in 1999 and the 1st defendant failed to apply for renewal. The evidence established that the plaintiff followed all required procedures, and the Kampala District Land Board, as the lessor, re-entered and reallocated the land to the plaintiff. The 1st defendant’s alleged interest was neither legal nor equitable after expiry, and no fraud was committed by the plaintiff in obtaining the title.
