The earlier general notification of redundancy in July 2016 did not apply to the claimant, as he continued to work beyond the stated delivery cycle and performed duties beyond the Umeme contract. The respondent intentionally delayed the redundancy notice to retain the claimant for office duties, and thus, the termination was effected without proper notice, reasons, or a hearing.
