[2014] UGSC 3

The Supreme Court held that the applicant failed to demonstrate irreparable harm if the interim injunctive orders were not granted. The balance of convenience favored allowing the Anti-Corruption Division to proceed with its work to ensure speedy trials for accused persons. The constitutionality of the Practice Directions and the inclusion of Magistrates would be determined at the appeal stage, not in the interim application.
