The High Court found that the representative order issued by the Assistant Registrar was erroneous because the proper procedure under Order 1 rule 12 of the Civil Procedure Rules was not followed. Since the suit had already been filed by 91 plaintiffs, any authorization for representation should have been executed in writing and filed with the court, not by way of a representative order.
