The court found that the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that Mambo William died on 16th August 2013, and that his death was unlawfully caused by a deliberate, ferocious attack involving multiple accused acting in concert. The medical evidence established multiple fatal injuries inconsistent with any accidental cause. The identification evidence of P.W.5 was found credible, placing each accused at the scene and describing their respective roles. The doctrine of common intention applied, as the accused set out together to assault the deceased on suspicion of witchcraft, and death was a probable consequence of their unlawful purpose.
