The Plaintiff, having purchased a 99-year leasehold interest that was never registered, did not acquire a legal interest in the suit land enforceable against third parties such as the Defendants. The Defendants had no notice of the Plaintiff's interest, and the Plaintiff failed to take steps such as lodging a caveat to protect its interest.
