IV. Glasgow Corporation Order [1912] UKHL 1054 (26 March 1912)

The Commissioners held the preamble to the Order proved, subject to adjustment of certain clauses. They recommended striking out the clause applying Section 43 of the Tramways Act 1870 to tramways outside the city, as local authorities did not object to the Corporation's permanent rights and this was consistent with prior legislation. Provisions exceeding the general law on street trading were deleted, but a clause allowing control over advertising vehicles was permitted.
