The shooting of the plaintiffs was unjustified and amounted to excessive force as they were not participating in riotous conduct at the time; the employer is vicariously liable for the actions of its employees. The plaintiffs' dismissal was wrongful as there was no evidence of their participation in riots, nor were they accorded any disciplinary hearing. The employer is liable for damages for unlawful shooting, pain and suffering, wrongful dismissal, and for providing medical treatment to the injured plaintiffs.
