Ratio Decidendi

The Anti Corruption Commission acted within its powers under Section 24(1) of the Act in issuing restriction notices as there was prima facie evidence of investigation into the acquisition of the property. The issuance of fresh restriction notices after expiry of previous ones is not prohibited by law. Section 24(1) also allows the Commission to restrict the collection of rent as part of managing the property under investigation, subject to refund with interest if the respondent is found innocent.
