The complainants were employees of the respondent and were dismissed without being charged or given an opportunity to be heard, in breach of natural justice and statutory requirements. Their dismissal was both wrongful and unfair, entitling them to damages. However, they are not entitled to salary arrears for the period they did not work during the criminal trial, as there was no evidence of suspension with pay or contractual entitlement.
