The trial judge erred in awarding a global figure for damages without proper assessment and in depriving the successful plaintiff of costs without judicially justifiable grounds. The matter should be remitted to the Deputy Registrar for proper assessment of damages, and the plaintiff is entitled to costs except for the costs of reassessment, which are to be borne by the plaintiff due to initial failure to provide adequate proof.
