Ratio Decidendi

A mediation settlement order, once executed and registered, is final and binding, and the court has no jurisdiction to interpret, review, or refer the matter for assessment. Any proceedings or decisions after such an order are a nullity. However, in exceptional cases where the mediation settlement order is unclear or unenforceable due to fault of all parties, the court may, in the interests of justice, refer the matter back to mediation with appropriate guidance under its inherent jurisdiction.
