Ratio Decidendi

The offences were extremely serious, involved calculated and violent sexual exploitation of multiple victims, and caused severe physical and psychological harm. The mitigating factors, including youth and guilty plea, are outweighed by aggravating circumstances and public interest. Stiff and, where appropriate, maximum sentences are warranted, with sentences for related offences to run concurrently except for certain counts which run consecutively.
