The Government shall notify the Federal National Council of the international treaties and conventions concluded with other states and the various international organizations, together with appropriate explanations. The President of the Council shall determine, by virtue of a decision thereby, the international treaties and agreements to be discussed by the Federal National Council prior to the ratification thereof. * This article was amended by Constitutional Amendment No. (1) dated 10/02/2009. The previous text reads as follows: “The Government shall notify the Federal National Council of the international treaties and conventions it concludes with the other states and various international organizations, together with appropriate explanations.”
