https://legaladviceme.com/legislation/120/uae-constitution-of-united-arab-emirates 10/34 8/17/2019 The Constitution of the United Arab Emirates - Legal Advice Middle East Upon vacancy of the office of the President or Vice President by reason of death or resignation, or the termination of the rule of any one of them over this Emirate for whatever reason, the Supreme Council shall be convened into session within one month of that date to elect a successor to the vacant office for the period stipulated in Article (52) of this Constitution. In the event that the two offices of the President of the Supreme Council and his Deputy become vacant simultaneously, the Council shall be immediately called into session by any one of its members or by the Prime Minister of the Federation, to elect a new President and Vice President to fill the two vacant offices.
