Article 117 The Supreme Court shall be comprised of nine members, appointed by the President and with the endorsement of the House of People, and in observance of the provisions of clause 3 of Article 50 as well as Article 118 of this Constitution, shall be initially appointed in the following manner: Three members for a period of 4 years, three members for 7 years, and three members for 10 years. Later appointments shall be for period often years. Appointment of members for a second term shall not be permitted. The President shall appoint one of its members as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Members of the Supreme Court, except under circumstances stated in Article 127 of this Constitution, shall not be dismissed till the end of their term.
