Official source5. The Governor-General in his discretion may dissolve Parliament if the majority of all the members of all the members of the House pass a resolution that they have no confidence in the Government and the Prime Minister does not within seven days of the passing of that resolution either resign from his office or advise a dissolution of Parliament.
