Official source3. The persons who, on 31st October 1981 were members of the Senate under the former Constitution, shall, as from 1st November 1981, be deemed to have been appointed Senators in pursuance of Section 28 of the Constitution and shall hold their seats as Senators in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution.
