Until the Parliament otherwise provides, any person declared by this Constitution to be incapable of sitting as a senator or as a member of the House of Representatives shall, for every day on Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act (The Constitution) 19 Compilation No. 6 Compilation date: 29/7/77 Registered: 18/11/21 Rectified Authorised Version registered 13/05/2026 C2013Q00005 Chapter I. The Parliament. Part IV. Both Houses of the Parliament. Section 47. which he so sits, be liable to pay the sum of one hundred pounds to any person who sues for it in any court of competent jurisdiction.
