Art. 13. A língua portuguesa é o idioma oficial da República Federativa do Brasil. § 1º São símbolos da República Federativa do Brasil a bandeira, o hino, as armas e o selo nacionais. § 2º Os Estados, o Distrito Federal e os Municípios poderão ter símbolos próprios. CAPÍTULO IV DOS DIREITOS POLÍTICOS
