This Act may be cited as the Cook Islands Constitution Amendment Act 1965, and. shall be read together with and deemed part of the Cook Islands Constitution Act 1964 (hereinafter refeqed to as the principal Act). (2) This Act shall come into force on the date to be appointed for the commencement of the principal Act. The Cook Islands Constitution Act 1964 came into force on the 4th August 1965; see clause 2 of the Cook Islands Constitution Act Commencement Order 1965 (SR 1965/128). Amendments of the Cook Islands Constitution 2 (1) The Constitution of the Cook Islands (as set out Jn the Sch.edule to the principal Act) is hereby amended in the manner indicated in the First Schedule to this Act.
