Official source1. Em caso de impedimento temporário, de ausência no estrangei- ro, bem como no caso de vacatura do cargo, e até à tomada de posse do novo Presidente eleito, o Presidente da República será interinamente substituído pelo Presidente da Assembleia Nacional ou, no impedi- mento deste, pelo Primeiro-Vice-Presidente.
