In section 12(1) of the Requirements of Writing (Scotland) Act 1995 (interpretation)— a in the definition of “ Minister ”, after “1975” there is inserted “ and also includes a member of the Scottish Executive ” , and b in paragraph (a) of the definition of “ officer ”, after “Department” there is inserted “ or, as the case may be, as a member of the staff of the Scottish Ministers or the Lord Advocate ” .
