Official sourceThe President of the State is entitled to resign from his office (Amendment No. 10) by submitting a letter of resignation to the Speaker of the Knesset. The letter of resignation need not be countersigned. The position of the President shall become vacant after the letter of resignation has reached the Speaker of the Knesset.
