Removal from office

The State Comptroller shall not be removed from office, save (Amendment No. 2) for one of the following: (1) He is permanently unable to perform his duties for health reasons - on the day on which the Knesset decided so, in a resolution adopted by at least the majority of its Members, following a procedure prescribed by law; (2) Due to conduct that is inappropriate to his status as State Comptroller - on the day on which the Knesset decided so, in a resolution adopted by a majority of at least three quarters of its Members, following a procedure prescribed by law.
