20. Right to participate in government
(1) Every citizen of Lesotho shall enjoy the right -
(a) to take part in the conduct of public affairs, directly or through freely chosen
representatives;
(b) to vote or to stand for election at periodic elections under this Constitution under a
system of universal and equal suffrage and secret ballot;
(c) to have access, on general terms of equality, to the public service.
(2) The rights referred to in subsection (1) shall be subject to the other provisions of this
Constitution.
