Every citizen of Montenegro who had a citizenship of some other State apart from the
Montenegrin citizenship, on the day of 3 June 2006, shall have the right to keep the
Montenegrin citizenship.
International law Citizen of Montenegro who obtained some other citizenship after 3 June 2006, shall
have the right to keep the Montenegrin citizenship until a bilateral agreement is made
with the State whose citizenship he obtained, but not longer than one year as of the day
when the Constitution of Montenegro was adopted.
