Power to appoint polling places

1 In respect of each election, the Electoral Commission may from time to time, subject to subsections (2) to (4), appoint polling places for any district, and may revoke, alter, or add to any such appointment. 2 The polling places appointed for any district may include polling places that are not within the limits of that district. 3 4 At least 12 polling places within the limits of each district shall have access that is suitable for persons who are physically disabled. 5 The Electoral Commission may make the details of every appointment, revocation, alteration, or addition publicly available by any means that the Electoral Commission considers appropriate. 6 Subsection (5) does not limit section 147 . 1956 No 107 s 91; 1990 No 1 s 43(1) Section 155(1) : amended , on 1 October 2010 , by section 32(1)(a) of the Electoral (Administration) Amendment Act 2010 (2010 No 26).
